Joomla Training Materials
Objective
The objective of the project was to prepare Joomla training material in the Sinhala language as a Moodle use in schools, micro-enterprises, telecenters and social organizations to create a presence on the web.
Learning Objectives/Outcomes
At the end of the training learner will has been able to:
- Explain what a content management system (CMS) is
- Explain what Joomla is and what it can do and cannot do
- Explain why we should consider a CMS like Joomla to manage a website
- Setup Joomla to have the Sinhala interface
- Develop a website containing Sinhala content (in Unicode) using the Joomla Sinhala interface
- Use the Joomla.org site as a resource and to contribute to it
