Unicode Training Workshop for UGC Staff

LK Domain Registry conducted two training workshops:

• Installation of Sinhala/Tamil unicode.
• User training on how to prepare documents using Sinhala Unicode and search web in Sinhala.

Initial training on installation was conducted on 18th December 2009.  More than 10 staff members from the IT division of the UGC participated.  Within the next couple of days they had installed the Sinhala/Tamil unicode in the relevant computers in various divisions.

User training was conducted on the 28th December 2009 and 38 staff members participated from various divisions of the UGC.

Both workshops were conducted by Mr DD Prabhath, Manager / Training of the LK Domain Registry.
